Aims and scope

The Polish Journal of Veterinary Sciences (PJVS), established in 1998, is an International peer-reviewed open-access journal published quarterly.

The journal publishes high-quality original research articles (both full-length and short communications), as well as reviews covering a wide range of topics in veterinary science and allied disciplines, including animal production.
Manuscripts that contribute to advancing understanding in the pathophysiology of animal diseases, diagnostics, therapeutics, preventive measures, and animal- related public health and food security issues are particularly encouraged.

Peer-Review and Acceptance

Submissions are evaluated by reviewers using the single-blind peer review process, which includes assessment of originality, technical validity and significance. The policy of the journal is to accept articles only after a positive peer review.

Reviewers are acknowledged for their contributions through discount vouchers applicable to future publications in PJVS. Full details regarding these vouchers can be found under the ‘Instructions for Reviewers’ section.

All accepted articles are professionally proofread and made available as open- access publications (with direct access from the PubMed database). For early dissemination, all articles are made available online immediately (articles in press) upon acceptance, enhancing the visibility, accessibility, and impact of your
research. The journal is printed quarterly and distributed to libraries.

Full versions of papers are distributed by EBSCO and Proquest.

Page Charges

After article acceptance there is a page charge per each typed page of the manuscript (for the indicated length of the article). Additional pages are charged at a higher rate. Color illustrations carry an extra charge. All current charges are shown in the [ Instructions for Authors ] tab.
